August 30, 2011 Wow! Moment s .

This was a WOW moment for me this morning.

Proverbs 30:7-9

7 Two things have I required of thee, deny me them not before I die. 8 Remove far from me Vanity and lies, give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me. Lest I be full and deny thee and say, Who is the LORD? Or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

I cannot tell you how wonderful it feels to wake up and pray and watch that prayer spring into a YES answer. I believe God gives us the YES answers in order to increase our faith and He gives the NO answers or WAIT answers to increase our trust and teach us patience. We must learn to wait on the Lord. He is God and He knows what is best for us and we must pray for wisdom and knowledge and then we will see the benefits of our willingness to obey and wait on Him.

It appears that when we will sit back and reflect on our lives that many times God will reveal to us His strength in our times of weakness and when those revelations come we will see the faithfulness of our Father. It seems the word of the day is “awesome.” That is a big word and would really wrap itself around the only thing that is truly “awesome” and that is the one and only, sovereign, almighty God. He is an AWESOME GOD. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if that word could be reserved just for Him?

Proverbs 3:5,6

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

In my life I have never had anyone pray a verse over my life. However, now that I have experienced this event, it has stirred many different emotions within me. And I am watching as it is changing my point of view and acting out in my life. That is our Awesome God dealing directly with my heart through the prayers of one of his precious children.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. We will watch that verse jump into action when we experience the fact play out in our own personal lives.

I want to end this short piece of personal thought this morning with my prayer.

Our Father which art in heaven thank you Lord for your Word, thank you Lord for the living Word that truly is alive and working in my life. Please Lord remove vanity and lies from my life, and thank you Father for never giving me riches nor poverty. I praise you Father for all you have given to me and my family, for all the times you have been long suffering, merciful, faithful, loving and with held the just rewards that I deserved but gave me grace. Oh my God how I thank you for that grace that I am unable to give to another in my flesh. I don’t deserve anything and yet you have given to me everything. Thank you Lord for using the hearts of your children to teach, nourish my soul; and give me comfort in times of great need. Thank you Father, that I am learning to lean not on my own understanding but will put all my trust in you. I just pray Father that you will use me to put what I have learned into action. Faith alone is dead, but you said we must live by faith and be doers of that faith. I want to be a doer and not just a hearer. Grant me wisdom and knowledge and bless my efforts. Forgive me when I stumble and fail and let me see myself as I am and not as I think I am. I love you Lord.

In Jesus Christ precious and Holy name, I pray. Amen
